But you can make a new trim of it, and have that new trim under your other marque. Is there a way to put my existing truck line under the new marque?

But once you get past that, it's smooth sailing until the depression. If you're playing on default build or classic map, there will be WW1 in the middle, so be careful. Since you're in 1911, you'll be going through a period of boom time. You'll want to keep your Eco cars away from your luxury cars. However, when you go to design vehicles, select your new marque from the brands list. Originally posted by Eric.B:Click the safe, then the papers in the bottom left, "Marque" button on the right, then "New Marque"Īfter that it works just like running your parent company. I can show you exact details of how I build the components too if that is confusing.Īlso note my design cost are extremely low in this because I started designs in june and set to finish around 17 months later for components (they finish in january) and then car designs I try to finish in november/december for increased odds at winning vehicle of the year. I have this truck selling for $1599 and I cannot keep up with production without just straight spamming factories everywhere.ĭemographics help, I tested some performance class models earlier, and 35-55 definetely is the mark for roadsters, coupes, etc, I am not completely sure about trucks yet, but I guess 35-55 males are the best, but still put it on nuetral cause I'm not totally sure. When you design vehicle, prioritize dependability and cargo and put everything else nearly at 0 except performance testing, put that around the middle. When I make generation 2 of those components the entire design will go back to about $450 unit cost. The first generation was about $100 cheaper, the engine particularly and the gearbox too were more expensive, but mostly because of the change from steam and 3 speed. Low gears are max torque, high gears are max top speed I will show you screen shots of my 2nd generation of pickup truck, the first one was very similar except it had a carriage FR chassis, new one has a ladder FF, old one had a steam engine, new one is slightly better in everything straight 2, and then a 4 speed gearbox, old one was a 3 speed.Įngine, as big and powerful and cheap as you can make it You can make it really good for like $450, and sell it for $1600 on nightmare mode/300 ai's. Most profitable vehicle to start is surely a pickup truck.

At the peak of the 20's before the crash I was profiting 40-60 million a month like that almost all through the 20's, and had 4 billion in cash when the stock market crashed. Keep pumping out factories if you must, lower prices and gobble up market share. Its easily possible to get in the hundreds of millions of profit every year even with 300ai on nightmare mode. If you also increase your image rating from making good cars and racing profile you can actually get massive sales without even doing marketing, as can be seen in a screenshot in that other thread. When I make branches, I max out the sales effeciency part, and get the growth to 1 1/2 stars, it seems to be the most effecient.

Try to keep vehicle cost low, economy cars should be costing you $300-500 unit cost, performance class maybe $450-600 in the early years, sell them for $1100-1500 depending on missed sales, at least up until the 30's. That way all of your vehicles are basically using the same chassis, motor, gearbox, because once you get up to 10+ models using multiple different components it easily becomes a mess. To keep things easy to follow and organize, maybe stick with one type of vehicle group to start with, like performance or economy.

I build factories small and cheap early on, spread them out, eventually use the district functions to upgrade them all together if I am missing massive sales. USA is the best area, you can easily sell all the vehicles 3-4 factory lines can produce with a good branch in just new york, philadelphia, and chicago.

If you rush into it there won't be many consumers anyways. Well you can try reading my 300ai/nightmare post anything that applies on that would help in any other difficulties.īasically don't be in a hurry to start, if your first model comes out in 1903, that is fine.
